Next month, Travis’s sweet grandma turns 80! To celebrate, she decided some camping was in order (as it always is when one turns 80). It was ridiculously hot and humid, but as you’ll see I think everyone had a wonderful time.
It was sad, but not a single person there was excited to see us. NOT A ONE.
Especially not this guy (“BRING ME MY TEETHING RING,” he bellowed).
Uncle Travis checking the future generations for teeth.
He was very pleased.
“Oh, it’s you again.”
Aunt Teresa and Abby playing paper dolls. Intently.
Grandma takes nothing seriously, not even paper dolls.
My favorite. :)
Of course there was patriotism. We don’t mess around.
Everyone had a really good time, but then this muddy swamp monster started terrorizing the camp and it really just ruined everything.
Until it didn’t.
Serious chats with Uncle Travis. At one point she told her parents sadly, “I don’t want Uncle Travis and Aunt Sarah to get old.”
There will be gnawing.
Beautiful pictures of Grandma Doty from when she was younger.
Oh and look who else I found!
Georgia red clay
And then when night falls, the marshmallow man cometh and bringeth unto us a game of Skip-Bo.
Carli and Rapunzel happily welcome you to Wednesday!
THE GANG! So motley. So menacing.
The gang plus me minus Heather. Someone’s gotta take one for the team.
Alex entertaining his Uncle between photos
Aunt Debbie please don’t hate me but this is without a doubt the best picture I have ever taken. Doty with her two kids.
The sweet Standishes and the LADY OF THE HOUR, HERSELF!
Oh hello how did she get in there again?
Travis listening somberly while Abby tells him something very serious.
And then laughs at his misfortune (it must be a lady thing).
Getting ready for another round of s’mores
Basking in the Uncle glow
Happy birthday, Grandma Doty! We love you. :)
