This past February, I got to hang out in Athens, Alabama for the beautiful wedding of Chase and Mary Emily Davis. This particular wedding was neat for me, because my friend Becca recommended me to the bride (who also happens to be the sister of a friend from college!). It always means a lot to me when my friends suggest me to someone else because that means they believe in my work. You’re not gonna recommend a shoddy product to someone you care about. So, THANKS buds. :)
Now, ONTO THE WEDDING!
The day started out at a salon in downtown Athens where Mary Emily and one of her best friends were getting their hair and makeup done.
As the stylist put the finishing touches on the lovely bride, Mary Emily and Jessica regaled me with stories of their crazy adventures dating all the way back to elementary school. Best friends are such a blessing.
After the salon, Travis and I went to check out the handsome groom and his guys getting ready. Looking sharp, Chase.
We were able to take Mary Emily’s bridals in the living room of her family home which was full of the most gorgeous antiques and lots of light! Mary Emily- you looked stunning.
Chase and Mary Emily opted to do a first look, and it turned out so sweet. We parked Chase on the side of the house to anxiously await his beautiful lady.
Even though it was February, the weather was nice enough for us to venture out for a short photo op. Love these shots.
Going to the chapel…
Go time! Please note the flower girl, high-tailing it down the aisle. Sometimes, you just gotta get it done.
Time for some cake smashing!
